I envy RAM makers' 80% margins: TSMC CEO Wei as he mulls raising chip prices

CC Wei, CEO of the world's largest contract chipmaker TSMC, said he would like to raise chip prices. However, he added that the company would refrain from sudden price hikes that some memory firms have imposed amid the AI boom. "I envy their 80% gross margins, but I would never do that," he said at the firm's annual shareholder meeting.
