I express my sincere regret: Mallikarjun Kharge on 'people illiterate in Gujarat' remark

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge expressed "sincere regret" over his remark at a Kerala poll rally, where he said PM Narendra Modi and Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan "can fool people who are illiterate in Gujarat" but not Kerala's people. "[My] remarks...are being deliberately misinterpreted...Even so...I express sincere regret. It was never my intention to hurt sentiments of people of Gujarat."
