I feel guilty as transport causes India's 40% pollution: Gadkari

Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said he feels very guilty as "40% of the pollution in India is because of transport ministry". "We import fossil fuel worth ₹22 lakh crore every year and that is one of the important reasons why we are facing the problem of pollution...We need to find out the alternative for fossil fuel," he added.
