I genuinely fear the police, they don't serve us: Amit Kilhor

The police were built to subjugate citizens, not serve them, educator Amit Kilhor argued. On the podcast, he said the Thana system, created after 1857, was meant to control people and admitted every brush with police leaves him anxious. Unlike in the US or UK, he said, an ordinary Indian is simply afraid to walk into a station.
