I grew a beard, travelled across India: R Madhavan on sabbatical

R Madhavan recalled feeling existential crisis after a farmer gave him disgusted look during a song's shoot in Switzerland. "I looked at him and said, 'You come to Chennai, I'll show you who I'm'," said Madhavan, adding this prompted him to take a four-year sabbatical. "I grew a beard. I travelled across India and understood what really matters," he added.
