I hate losing more than I enjoy winning: Michael Phelps

Twenty-eight-time Olympic medallist, Michael Phelps, in an episode of 'Figuring Out With Raj Shamani' revealed his secret saying, "I hate to lose more than I enjoy winning. The feeling of somebody being better than me" drove him harder than any trophy could. Even as a kid, second place wasn't an option. He didn't compete against other swimmers, just the clock.
