I'll commit suicide: Ex-PM Manmohan told ex-Election Commission chief over his 'loose talk' complaint

Ex-Election Commission chief SY Quraishi has revealed that in 2012 he complained to then PM Manmohan Singh's Press Secretary Harish Khare about "loose talk" by Congress ministers on EC's functioning. "Harish told me what you said. If that is what you think, I'll commit suicide," Singh told Quraishi. "EC is...soul of...democracy. If we lose that, we lose everything," Singh said.
