I'm going to play vs Messi, I can retire from football: Switzerland's Amdouni

Switzerland forward Zeki Amdouni joked about the prospect of facing Lionel Messi in the Switzerland-Argentina FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter-final. "I'm going to play against Messi. That's it, I can retire from football," the 25-year-old said. Amdouni has made three substitute appearances at the FIFA World Cup 2026. The quarter-final will be played on 12 July (Indian time).
