I'm in favour of village cinematic universe: 'Panchayat' director

'Panchayat' director Deepak Kumar Mishra said that he supports the idea of a village cinematic universe in the Indian film landscape, just like the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Deepak's views come as 'Panchayat' and Sonam Nair's 'Dupahiya' are both based on rural Indian setting, streaming on the same OTT platform. Deepak said a universe with interdependent village-based stories "would be great".
