Salesforce's CEO, Marc Benioff, said the company didn't hire any new engineers in fiscal year 2026. "I’m not hiring more engineers...because I was using coding agents and I was allowing the productivity from...coding agent to give me the extra capacity," Benioff was quoted as saying by India Today. Notably, Salesforce cut 4,000 jobs last year due to AI agents.
