I made my first watch out of a WWII coin: JWC founder Gaurav Mehta

Gaurav Mehta, founder of Jaipur Watch Company, said on the podcast that his first watch was built around a World War II coin punched with a hole to save metal. He fitted it into a Maxima watch himself and wore it proudly. Nearly 80% of the people he met asked about it, and some offered to pay.
