I shot UnitedHealthcare CEO and he died: Luigi Mangione as he pleads guilty

Luigi Mangione, 28, pleaded guilty to two federal stalking charges in the December 2024 killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. "I shot Mr Thompson, and he died," he told Manhattan federal court. Mangione, a patient with severe back pain, harboured grievances against the US health insurance system. He reportedly had no personal connection to Thompson or UnitedHealthcare.
