I trusted cops, they blamed me for it: TN CM Vijay during 1st visit to Karur since stampede

Tamil Nadu CM Vijay visited Karur on Friday for the first time since a stampede at his TVK rally killed 41 people in September 2025. Addressing a gathering, he said that he had trusted the police to manage the crowd, but he was subsequently blamed for the tragedy. He further called the stampede "the most painful moment" of his life.
