I was 'blinded' by LED lights in Iron Man suit in 1st film: Robert

During his appearance on David Letterman's talk show, Robert Downey Jr recalled wearing the 'Iron Man' suit in his first Marvel movie and said the LED lights in the helmet "absolutely blinded" him. "[The makers] wanted to spend as little as they could on CG replacement, so... there'd be a shot, and I'd be in this whole suit," he explained.
