While addressing the Israeli Parliament, PM Narendra Modi said, "I have always felt drawn to Israel. I was born on the same day that India formally recognised Israel: September 17, 1950." PM Modi also condemned terrorist attack in Israel by Hamas on October 7, 2023, stating, "I also carry with me the deepest condolences of the people of India."
