I was made hero, was later grilled: Ex-RBI Guv Subbarao on 2G scam

Speaking about 2G spectrum scam case, former RBI Governor Duvvuri Subbarao said he, who was then Finance Secretary, had contested government's proposal to give away spectrum licences in 2007-2008 at low prices. When government was criticised, he was "made to look like hero". "But when I appeared before JPC, they grilled me on...why didn't I pursue my suggestion," he added.
