I was told everything works in Delhi: Fire-hit hotel owner as he shifts blame for illegal rooms

Lovkesh Bajaj, owner of Flourish Stays B&B, where at least 21 people died in a fire, blamed the property's manager, Jay Mishra, for increasing the number of rooms to 25 despite permission for only six. Bajaj claimed he was told such arrangements were "routine" and that "everything works in Delhi". He wasn't involved in the day-to-day operations, he told investigators.
