Was told I was too good-looking for 'Bandit Queen' role: Neena

Actress Neena Gupta recalled her early years in Mumbai and spoke about auditioning for the role of 'Phoolan Devi' in 'Bandit Queen'. "I've pictures of me with my hair stuck in my nose. I sent it to Shekhar [director]," she said. "Shekhar said you're too good-looking for that role," she said, while acknowledging that Seema Biswas was a "fabulous" choice.
