I will not return to Bangladesh to face political assassination: Sheikh Hasina

Ousted Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina dismissed calls for her return to the country amid legal proceedings, which she called "politically motivated". She said, "You cannot demand my return to face my political assassination." Haseena has been charged with crimes against humanity for her alleged role in violent crackdowns during 2024 student-led uprising and sentenced to death by country’s tribunal.
