IAF needs 36-40 jets every year, delay in induction is going to hurt us: Air Chief

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh said the IAF needs to induct 36-40 fighter aircraft annually to prevent its strength from falling below 30 squadrons and eventually reach the target of 42 squadrons. "There's some extra delay this time…it's going to hurt us," he said. The force is counting on LCA Mk-1A, additional Su-30MKIs and the proposed acquisition of 114 Rafales.
