IAF's 114-jet MRFA to allow no compromise on core needs: Reports

Defence ministry sources said the IAF's 114-jet MRFA programme will allow no compromise on key needs, including indigenous weapons integration and secure data-link capability. The project has not yet received Acceptance of Necessity. Officials clarified MRFA will not impact LCA or AMCA programmes, which have separate budgets and will coexist to address squadron shortages.
