IAF's 40 Su-30MKI jets armed with air-launched BrahMos missiles

Indian Air Force's (IAF) 40 Su-30MKI fighter jets have now been equipped with air-launched BrahMos missiles, BrahMos Aerospace co-director Alexander Maksichev said. He stated that integration of BrahMos missiles with remaining Su-30MKI fleet is ongoing. The latest BrahMos variant has an extended strike range of nearly 450 km and weighs around 2.5 tonnes, making it lighter than land-based version.
