IAF to replace Mi-35 with LCH Prachand, halts Apache imports
The Indian Air Force will retire its ageing Mi-35 Hind helicopters by the 2030s, replacing them with the indigenous Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) Prachand. Reflecting a push for self-reliance, the IAF has also shelved plans for further Boeing AH-64E Apache imports. The LCH Prachand is set to become the IAF's main attack helicopter fleet type.
