IAF turns to local firms for defence supplies amid Ukraine, Iran wars

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has identified critical components for domestic manufacturers to produce as the Ukraine and Iran wars disrupt defence supplies. These include MiG-29 spare parts, rubber seals, gaskets and glands for Western-origin aircraft. The IAF cited supply chain disruptions, scarcity of critical spares and skyrocketing costs as key challenges arising from the conflicts.
