IAS officer Anindita Mitra named Punjab Chief Electoral Officer

Punjab's new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) is a 2007-batch IAS officer Anindita Mitra. She replaces Sibin C, who has proceeded on central deputation as a joint secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Anindita's husband, S Karuna Raju, also served as the CEO of Punjab before Sibin C was chosen as the CEO in 2023.
