IAS officer fines self ₹5k after tea served in plastic cups in his office

IAS officer and Maharashtra's Beed District Collector, Astik Kumar Pandey, imposed a fine of ₹5,000 on himself after a journalist pointed out the use of plastic cups in his office. Reports claimed that the journalist was attending a conference in Pandey's office when he pointed out that tea was being served in single-use plastic, calling it the state-wide ban's violation.
