IAS officer Mandeep Bhandari named new CBSE Chairperson months after re-evaluation row

IAS officer Mandeep K Bhandari has been appointed Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) following a bureaucratic reshuffle effected by the Centre. The move comes months after the CBSE re-evaluation row. Bhandari, a 2001 batch IAS officer, has in the past served as Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
