IAS officer transferred after assaulting police personnel at Bengaluru pub

Andhra Pradesh's state government transferred IAS officer Vikas Marmat after he was booked, along with three others, for allegedly abusing and assaulting police personnel at a Bengaluru pub during a late-night inspection. Marmat was directed to report to the General Administration Department for further posting. Marmat reportedly lost his temper after police asked him to show his ID card.
