IAS Shah Faesal, who quit civil services to join politics, reinstated in Central govt

IAS officer Shah Faesal has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Union Tourism Ministry. Faesal, who became the first Kashmiri to top the civil services exam in 2010, was reinstated in the services earlier this year. He quit civil services in 2019 and later floated his own political party. The 39-year-old quit politics the following year.
