The 2005-batch IAS officer Tukaram Mundhe has been transferred for 24th time in his 21-year career and has been appointed Principal Secretary of Disaster Management, Rehabilitation, Revenue, and Forest Department in Maharashtra. Often called 'Singham' in administrative circles, Mundhe's average tenure is about a year, far below three years an officer is typically expected to serve in a single post.
