IB Director Tapan Kumar Deka gets one-year extension for 2nd time

The Centre on Tuesday extended the tenure of Intelligence Bureau (IB) Director, Tapan Kumar Deka by "one year beyond June 30, 2025 or until further orders whichever is earlier", a government order said. He was earlier granted an extension in June 2024 for one year. He was appointed as Intelligence Bureau head in June 2022 for a two-year period.
