IBM lays off 8,000 employees, mainly in HR department: Report

IBM has laid off around 8,000 employees, India Today reported. According to reports, most of the job cuts are coming from the company’s Human Resources (HR) department. Earlier this month, IBM reportedly replaced about 200 HR positions with AI agents. The company's CEO, Arvind Krishna, recently said artificial intelligence has taken over the work of "a couple hundred" HR employees.
