Iconic statues of Pak's 1971 surrender destroyed by 'anti-India vandals' in B'desh
Iconic statues commemorating the moment Pakistan surrendered after the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War were found destroyed, amid unrest there. Pictures of Shaheed Memorial Complex in Bangladesh's Mujibnagar surfaced online. It depicted signing of the 'Instrument Of Surrender' by Pakistan Army to the Indian Army and Bangladesh's Mukti Bahini. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor blamed 'anti-India vandals'.
