Iconic 'Titanic' door that saved Rose from drowning auctioned for ₹6 crore

The iconic door prop which saved Kate Winslet's character Rose from drowning in the North Atlantic Ocean in the 1997 movie 'Titanic' has been auctioned for $718,750 (nearly ₹6 crore). While it's commonly referred to as a door, the ornate structure made from balsa wood was actually part of the door frame above the first-class lounge entrance, Heritage Auctions said.
