IDBI Bank staff to sit on nationwide hunger strike for 2 days

United Forum of IDBI Officers and Employees has announced a two-day nationwide hunger strike against the bank's proposal to let Canada-based Fairfax Financial Holdings buy it. The forum demanded that the government halt the sale and buy at least a 6% stake in IDBI to maintain a controlling stake. The hunger strike will be held on November 2 and 3.
