Idea shares jump 7% on CCI approval on merger with Vodafone

Shares of Idea Cellular jumped 7% on Tuesday after the Competition Commission of India (CCI) approved its merger with Vodafone India. The merger, which is a $23 billion deal, will create the country's largest telecom operator. Post the transaction, the merged entity will have almost 40 crore customers with 35% customer and 41% revenue market share.
