IDFC First Bank temporarily halts services to crypto industry: Report

IDFC First Bank has temporarily halted services to cryptocurrency companies to do 'enhanced due diligence', Livemint reported citing sources. Earlier, RBI clarified that its 2018 circular, which barred banks from dealing in virtual currencies, was no longer valid and cannot be cited. Other lenders, including ICICI Bank and Yes Bank, have reportedly severed ties with crypto sector since May.
