Veteran film composer Ilaiyaraja was conferred with the Centenary Award for lifetime achievement at the inauguration of the 46th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Friday. The award was given by the Minister for Information and Broadcasting Arun Jaitley and the event’s Chief Guest Anil Kapoor. Ilaiyaraja has over 1000 film scores and over 5000 songs in his repertoire.
