IIM Jammu denies claim that students absent from PM birthday event warned of fines

IIM Jammu has denied Congress MP Syed Naseer Hussain's claim that it had issued notices to students asking them to explain their absence from an event held for PM Narendra Modi's birthday. Hussain had further claimed that the institute had warned students of a ₹500 fine, asking, "Why should attendance be mandatory?" A lamp-lighting ceremony was organised at the campus.
