IISc builds AI model to convert CO2 into fuels

Scientists at IISc developed a computational framework mapping 9,389 chemical reactions to convert CO2 into methanol and carbon monoxide using hydrogen and a copper catalyst. Their machine learning-based model is 40 times more accurate than older ones and identified a new hydrogen transfer route, potentially enabling better catalysts and cleaner CO2 recycling methods.
