IISc professor creates AI model that can chant any Sanskrit shloka 'perfectly'

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) professor Prathosh AP has created an AI model that chants Sanskrit shlokas "perfectly". Vāgdhenu is an open-source Sanskrit text-to-speech system that uses a shloka-to-chant format and can detect Sanskrit verses in any Indian script. "A 15-year-old dream has come true today...No large AI lab, no big engineering team...Just a professor's conviction," he said.
