IIT Bombay professor booked after student's suicide; SC/ST Act invoked

Mumbai Police invoked provisions of SC/ST Act and registered abetment case against IIT Bombay professor Suryanarayana Doolla after student Sahil Wakode’s parents alleged caste discrimination and harassment following his death by suicide. Wakode, a second-year BTech student in Energy Science and Engineering, allegedly died by suicide after he was found using ChatGPT on his phone during examination.
