IIT-Bombay surveys students on cheating after Wakode suicide
IIT-Bombay's Undergraduate Academic Council has circulated a survey to understand why students resort to academic malpractice, following the death by suicide of student Sahil Wakode on September 18. The survey asks whether grade pressure justifies cheating and if harsh punishment deters students from seeking help. Wakode died hours after allegedly being caught using a phone during an exam.
