IIT Delhi tops Indian institutes in QS 2026 rankings: Report

India's higher education shows steady improvement in the QS 2026 World University Rankings by Subject. IIT Delhi ranks 36 in Engineering & Technology, followed by IIT Bombay (42), Madras (62), Kharagpur (64) and Kanpur (84). India has doubled its top-50 entries with 27 placements across 12 universities, led by strong STEM performance.
