IIT Ropar claims to have developed India's first-of-its-kind UVGI-based room disinfectant device 'UVSAFE'. It harnesses the germicidal effects of UV-C radiations to inactivate all bacteria and viruses. The device ensures zero shadow, provides 360° disinfection and has foldable wings. It has been tested and accredited by FICCI and NABL, the institute said.
