IITian Sridhar Ramaswamy named CEO of cloud company Snowflake

US-based data cloud company Snowflake announced that Frank Slootman has decided to retire and named Sridhar Ramaswamy the company's CEO effective immediately. Sridhar Ramaswamy was the Co-founder of the world's first private AI-powered search engine, Neeva, acquired in 2023 by Snowflake. An IIT Madras and Brown University alumnus, Ramaswamy also worked for 15 years at Google.
