IIT-M may soon work on ChatGPT's regional alternative: Director

Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) may soon work on a ChatGPT alternative that would concentrate on regional languages, Director V Kamakoti told Moneycontrol. Kamakoti said using data generated through the government's e-learning initiative Swayam, it is possible to create good chat engineering platforms. The other big thing could be adding multilingual capacity to the application.
