IITs to conduct entrance exams in Kathmandu from 2017

President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday announced that Nepali students will be allowed to join IITs on a regular basis and that the entrance examinations will be conducted in Nepal's capital Kathmandu starting 2017. India and Nepal have enjoyed a long tradition of academic and student exchanges, he added. President Mukherjee is currently on a three-day visit to the Himalayan nation.
