Illegal firecrackers worth ₹43 lakh confiscated from Ulhasnagar

Firecrackers worth ₹43.27 lakh being sold without authorisation in the Ulhasnagar area of Maharashtra's Thane district were confiscated after raids were carried out based on a tip. The firecrackers were seized from one shop and the father-son duo that owns it has been booked. "A tip...(said) several shops were selling firecrackers without safety and civic licences," said the police.
