Illegal road construction alleged near Mullayanagiri

Environmentalists have alleged illegal road construction and soil excavation near Mullayanagiri, Karnataka's highest peak, in the ecologically sensitive Western Ghats. Activists claim heavy machinery is being used to build roads and transport soil and ore for tourism-related projects. They warn the activities could damage Shola forests and increase landslide risks during the monsoon season.
